I recently stayed at Planterosa, and it was such a cozy spot to unwind. Located just a short drive from the heart of Roanoke, it’s close to hiking trails and only 15-20 minutes from downtown. I loved how peacefully it was very close to the Appalachian Trail.
With one bedroom and one bathroom, the apartment is perfect for a small group or a getaway for two. The place is pretty spacious with 875 sq ft to stretch out and relax. The kitchen had everything I needed to whip up meals, and there’s even a fireplace that made evenings feel extra warm and inviting.
One of my favorite parts was the outdoor space. Whether I wanted to enjoy my morning coffee outside or just take in some fresh air, it was a great feature. Plus, having free WiFi made it easy to stay connected.
The location is super convenient. Hollins University is just a 7-minute drive away, and if you feel like exploring more, the Berglund Center and Valley View Mall are within 15 minutes. Getting to and from the airport was also a breeze, taking only about 20 minutes.
For anyone looking for a relaxing, convenient place to stay, Planterosa is a great choice. It’s definitely a gem near Roanoke.
