The first time I visited the area I stayed at Wedmore Place in Williamsburg, VA, and it felt like traveling back in time. Each room is uniquely designed, inspired by different European provinces. The hotel features 28 rooms and suites, each offering a distinct experience. Waking up to views of the countryside made my mornings perfect.

 

The location is ideal too. It’s situated on the beautiful grounds of the Williamsburg Winery. I loved exploring the vineyard and enjoying wine tastings just a short walk from my room.

 

Breakfast at Wedmore Place was delightful. The selection of pastries and quiche made for a great start to my day. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist, making my stay even more enjoyable.

I also stayed at the Cedars of Williamsburg Bed & Breakfast and loved its charm. This place has a Georgian brick home with a sunken front garden, making it feel like stepping back in time. The property is large, with 11 rooms, including a separate two-room cottage.

 

The rooms are cozy with hardwood floors and period furnishings. Some even have fireplaces, adding to the romantic atmosphere. It’s perfect for a getaway with a colonial touch.

 

Breakfast was a highlight. They served gourmet meals that really hit the spot each morning. Plus, there’s free Wi-Fi, so I stayed connected easily.

 

The location is fantastic. It’s just one minute away from the College of William and Mary and a short walk to Merchants Square. Busch Gardens is also just a ten-minute drive away, making it a great spot for exploring Williamsburg.

Another charming spot is York Point in Williamsburg, VA. It’s really a unique place with a mix of history and comfort. The location puts you close to both the serene York River and the vibrant historic district.
